These terms are an agreement between you and Strade. By creating an account or using the Strade app, you agree to them. Please read them — they explain what Strade does, what we ask of you, and the limits of our responsibility.
“Strade” (“we”, “us”) provides the Strade mobile app for tracking and splitting shared expenses (the “Service”). “You” means the person using the Service.
Payment details others share (such as a UPI ID or a bank note) are shown for convenience only. You are responsible for verifying any payment details and for the payments you make or receive. Marking a balance as “settled” in Strade records that you consider it settled; it does not itself send or confirm any money.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of the content you put into Strade (expenses, notes, photos, and the like). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you and the people you share it with. You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to share it.
Strade is collaborative. When you split an expense or join a group, the relevant entries and your basic profile are visible to the other people involved. Because records are shared, content you created may remain visible to other members so their records stay accurate, even after you leave a group or delete your account.
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the Service. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we don't guarantee the Service will always be available or error-free.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free. You are solely responsible for verifying the amounts, balances, and settlements you rely on. Strade is a convenience for tracking shared costs and is not a substitute for your own records or professional financial advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strade will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any dispute about who owes whom or any payment made or not made between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm Strade or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted to co-members, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts of India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service.
